A transformation that affected the business, and also had a strong impact on people and the social composition in which Growens operates, from a variety of points of view.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For this reason, a key commitment for 2023 was to take care of our people, supporting them in handling this evolution, both emotionally and professionally.\u00a0<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We activated change management and group counseling courses, as well as a cornerstone plan to update technical and soft skills thanks to a public grant, enabling each person to find a new balance and to refocus their goals in the new company structure.<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These are the words, used by CEO <strong>Nazzareno Gorni<\/strong> and the President <strong>Matteo Monfredini<\/strong> to comment on the past year, as outlined in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growens.io\/en\/letter-to-stakeholders-2023\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Letter to the Stakeholders<\/a> in the 2023 Sustainability Report.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>Materiality Analysis <\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Like every year, a structured process was put in place to identify the main impacts that the Group&#8217;s activities have or could have on the ESG sphere. This enabled a detailed definition of the reference context both inside and outside the organization.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growens first conducted a benchmark analysis on a sample of <\/span><b>15 competitors<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, peers and comparable companies and then reviewed all the <\/span><b>existing internal documentation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, including the strategic plan, company policies and the sustainability plan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Then, it carried out an analysis of public files, articles and other similar documents on the impacts generated by companies in the <\/span><b>IT industry<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, ending with an assessment of the <\/span><b>main international standards and frameworks<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> adopted in sustainability reporting.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The process went on with the impacts clustering, on the basis of their mutual level of affinity, obtaining a list of <\/span><b>15 ESG topics <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that was subjected to quantitative assessment by the Top Management and a representative sample of the main categories of Group Stakeholders.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Such topics were split into 5 areas that were submitted to the main categories of Company Stakeholders through an <\/span><b>online questionnaire <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(in Italian or English according to the recipient).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>At the end of the process, 3.30 was defined as the materiality threshold value, thus identifying and prioritizing 12 material topics for the Growens Group.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-224903 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"2049\" height=\"2293\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng.png 2049w, https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng-268x300.png 268w, https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng-915x1024.png 915w, https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng-768x859.png 768w, https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng-1373x1536.png 1373w, https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng-1830x2048.png 1830w, https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng-70x78.png 70w, https:\/\/www.growens.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/tabella-eng-1920x2149.png 1920w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 2049px) 100vw, 2049px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><b>2023 sustainability highlights<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The 2023 Report is divided in three macro-areas, corresponding to the three components of the ESG acronym: governance, environment and social. The main highlights are listed below.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Governance\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Female presence in the BoD<br \/>\n<\/b>The Board of Directors is made up of <b style=\"font-size: 16px;\">five members<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, three of whom are executive and two hold the independence requirements provided for by Article 148, paragraph 3, of Legislative Decree 58\/1998 (TUF). <\/span>The presence of women in the BoD is <b style=\"font-size: 16px;\">40%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (2 directors), twice the law requirements.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>ESG guidance<br \/>\n<\/b><b><\/b>Growens provides its Business Units with strategic ESG guidance.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b style=\"font-size: 16px;\">No cases of corruption<br \/>\n<\/b>Since the Company was founded, no cases of active or passive corruption have been recorded.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>R&amp;D and innovation<br \/>\n<\/b>At the heart of the business, continuous investments in technology and processes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Environment<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Offsetting our carbon footprint<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growens offsets the carbon footprint of all its business units <\/span><b>by planting trees<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, creating <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/tree-nation.com\/profile\/growens\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">its own forest<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and supporting forest conservation projects.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Company vegetable garden<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growens has chosen to invest in zero-km agriculture, launching the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.growens.io\/en\/growers-at-growens\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growers at Growens<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> project, a communal garden on the terraces of its Cremona offices. All employees take care of it, enjoying the products.<\/span><\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Sustainable Mobility<br \/>\n<\/b>To get more information about the operational tools and best practices for the mobility management, the Facility Manager of Growens attended a <strong>training course on the strategic management of sustainable mobility<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. This training was held in accordance with the methodology European EPOMM and the guidelines adopted by the competent ministries on August 4, 2021.<br \/>\n<\/span>This training led to a careful management of corporate cars and to the promotion of <b style=\"font-size: 16px;\">green mobility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Social\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\"><b>Flexibility &amp; hybrid work<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.growens.io\/en\/wow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WoW program<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, that in 2023 turned two, Growens keeps guaranteeing to the whole organization a hybrid, flexible way of working, for an optimal <\/span><b>work\/life balance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>No accidents at the workplace<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Out of <\/span><b>275,000 hours<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> worked, no accidents or occupational illnesses, neither at work nor during commuting, were recorded during the 2023 fiscal year, in line with the previous years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>DEI Committee<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Growens launches an internal <\/span><b>Diversity, Equity &amp; Inclusion<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.growens.io\/en\/diversity-equity-inclusion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">committee<\/a> with the explicit aim of concretely increasing awareness, dialogue, and transparency on the issues of equality, diversity, inclusion, and access to opportunities, thus enabling the organization to <\/span><b>ensure equal growth and representation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for every person.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><b>Wrap up<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As previously mentioned in the letter to the Stakeholders, Growens is entering a new era where the business will be focused, more than ever, on international markets, continuing to operate in accordance with <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.growens.io\/en\/growens-values\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">its values<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
